As some of you know, we were kind of bummed out about our most recent field trip. For those of you who attended, I aplogize it wasn't as good as it could have been. The kids did seem to enjoy their part of it, however, the moms were a little disappointed and felt it missed the mark somewhat. While we were left feeling a little frustrated, we were also reminded why exactly that we homeschool.
We homeschool so that we can: answer any question our kids throw at us, take our time...even on our busiest day, let our kids touch and feel anything in their surroundings (including logs!), let our kids run and jump on anything in the outdoors (including more logs), let our kids participate together, have fun with the boundaries that are appropriate for our family, challenge our younger kids to levels we feel they can handle, make decisions about our kids education, and have fun!
So, on your next hike in the outdoors, take the ENTIRE family along. Take your time, touch the outdoors, collect things, answer questions and enjoy one another at a slow, casual pace!
